The Power of Positive Thinking

Many of us have fell victim to destructive thoughts, both imaginary and factual. The average person generates 25,000 to 50,000 thoughts per day, according to Hara Estroff Marano, editor in chief of “Psychology Today.” These figures mean that roughly 1,000 to 2,000 thoughts are created per hour. What could we possibly be thinking of!? And does it really matter what thoughts pass through our minds?

There have been discoveries in the social sciences that has proven a correlation between one’s thoughts and their overall health and happiness, which is commonly referred to as the mind and body connection. Furthermore, if one’s thoughts are consumed with themes of negativity or destruction, their health and happiness could be compromised more than one who has positive and constructive thoughts.

Today being National Positive Thinking Day, why not try to make an effort to monitor your thoughts and keep track of those that are constructive and destructive? Today’s focus: what are you really thinking?
